You can use character references to put SpecialCharacters in a wiki page.

ISO/IEC 10646 is the Universal multi-octet character set or UCS.
The HTML 4.01 documentation has lists of character with their corresponding character reference values.
In order to use a character reference in text, enclose it in DoubleQuotationMarks. That prevents the & from being encoded separately.
