You can read more about CI here.html, but the basic idea is quite simple: we perform a full build and run a full set of tests whenever changes are committed to CVS. By building and testing so frequently, we can ensure that integration problems (my code works on its own, but breaks in the presence of your code) are caught early, when they are easily dealt with.
