I think we've reached "very early alpha" stage - lots of bugs, but it's at a point where you can install it and have a reasonable expectation that the major pieces work most of the time. And now that the build server is up and running, you should be able to grab the latest builds from here any time. It would be especially helpful if people would test the 2.0 bits with a copy of their existing 1.8 wikis. I wouldn't advise upgrading in-place just yet, so you should definitely make a copy - the file formats haven't changed, so it should be as simple as copying the directory for filesystem-based wikis. SQL Server-based wikis aren't working yet in 2.0.
It's probably also a good time to start making use of tracker on SourceForge for any issues that come up. The mailing list is still a good place to mention and discuss them, but I think we should enter anything that needs doing anything in the tracker - the code is stable enough for this to be a worthwhile step.
As for what I'm going to do next (not exactly in this order):
Continue to fix bugs as people find them. So please help look for them!
Develop some sort of a performance testing approach.
Download a FlexWiki 2.0 build from here and unzip it into a new directory.
Use inetmgr.exe to
Create a new Application Pool
(You have to do this only once, after installing .NET 2.0)
The name doesn't matter, default settings are OK
We need this because asp.net 1.x and 2.x cannot run in the same pool.
Create a new virtual directory that points to the directory you unzipped the binaries into.
Edit the Properties of the virtual directory:
On the first tab choose the new application pool.
On the ASP.NET tab choose version 2.0 of ASP.NET
Set the Permissions for for the virtual directory:
Depending on your operating system and exact security configuration, you may need to grant file permission to one of the following users: ASPNET, IUSR_<machinename>, NETWORK SERVICE, SYSTEM.
At this point you should be up and running with a default wiki.
The WikiBases\NamespaceMap.xml has moved to config\flexwiki.config with slight modifications.
