One of the most confusing aspects of FlexWiki is the concept of Federations, WikiBases and Namespaces. I wrestled with these for a while and here's how I understand them:
Federation: At the very top (or root if you prefer) of a wiki you have the Federation. This is typically the company name, i.e. UmbrellaCorp.
WikiBase: Also called a namespace. This is the next level down. Keep in mind that there can be namespaces below namespaces. This is where you section out the wiki. So under UmbrellaCorp you might have Security, CovertOps and GeneTherapy.
Topic: This is the individual page level. This is where you actually put in text. Under UmbrellaCorp.GeneTherapy you might have a page called ViolentUndeadMonsters or ExperimentsGoneHorriblyWrong. :)
Please note: Everything above the topic level has to be created by the wiki administrator.
Common Aspects
HomePage: Every Federation and WikiBase has a home page. You can access this by typing in UmbrellaCorp.HomePage either in the browser or in the topic bar at the top of the page.
Navigation: TopicBar: You can navigate to any page via the topic bar (the text at the top of the page, i.e. Home Page). Just click on the text and it will turn into a prompt. Then type in the name of the topic that you want to go to. If that topic doesn't exist you will be taken to an edit page where you can create it.
Navigation: Address Bar: The other way to navigate is to type your namespace and topic name into the address bar. Normally the address bar will say http://umbrellacorp.com/default.aspx/UmbrellaCorp.GeneTherapy. You can switch topics by changing GeneTherapy to Security.
