About FlexWikiEditor and FlexWikiPad

Summary

FlexWikiPad is a completely separate effort from FlexWikiEditor. While both are Windows Forms applications that aim to make creating and managing FlexWiki content, they differ in their fundamental philosophy. Here is a list of differences:

None of these are meant to be statements about which of the two tools is better or worse. Rather, the intent is merely to point out the differences between the two tools.

Question
Are these core scenarios for FlexWikiEditor as an end-user tool or as a testing tool for the FlexWikiWebService? -- DavidOrnstein
Answer
Suggestion
If you haven't already looked at WikidPad (http://www.jhorman.org/wikidPad/), you should. It's a pretty nice little app for building local-only wiki-like informational stores. In particular, the keyboard acceleration and the treeview really rock. I'm mentioning it for inspiration, not because I think there's any chance of using the code (WikidPad is closed source). --CraigAndera WikidPad is open source as of June, 2005. -- BruceHaley II
Question
Question
Answer
FlexWikiEditor is only available by downloading the source from GotDotNet and building it yourself. Also, FlexWikiEditor is not in active development at this time. However, I am working on FlexWikiPad, and am making good progress. There is a reasonably usable version on the FwContrib website. -- CraigAndera
Question
I am having problems finding the source for FlexWikiEditor on www.gotdotnet.com, can anyone provide me with the url?
Answer
http://workspaces.gotdotnet.com/flexwiki - go into Source Control and look for the FlexWikiEditor folder. If you're looking for FlexWikiPad instead, it's at the FwContrib workspace. -- CraigAndera
