I am a professor of English at USF and a wiki advocate...
Before flexwiki, I tried a variety of wikis (e.g., Open, Sushi,) but for a variety of reasons those wikis didn't take off. I've written somewhat about those efforts at http://collegewriting.us/FrontPageDocuments/wikisONEdoc.htm
Right now I'm using flexwiki to try and help 2 communities (college-level writers and doctoral students):
I admire the simplicity of flexwiki, and I believe wikis can be used to faclitate collaboration and learning in college settings... test
