Itt is possible to embed SharpWiki topics in Word documents. This lets you use Wiki topics in your documents, specs, etc.
To do this, you use TopicViews and Word's ability to insert content from an URL.
- Decide what topic you want to insert (e.g., OneMinuteWiki)
- Decide whether you want just the body or the body and the topic name to appear in your Word document
- If you want the body, the view URL is http://blog/doca/default.aspx/<topic>?view=p
- If you want the body and topic name, the view URL is http://blog/doca/default.aspx/<topic>?view=b
- Insert the field in Word
- In Word, choose Insert... Field...
- Select IncludeText in the list of field names
- In the Filename of URL field, enter the view URL
- Select OK
- You will see the topic inserted in your document
- Like all Word fields, you can update the field (and thus refresh content from DocaWiki) by placing your cursor in the field and pressing F9 (or select the whole document and press F9).
I know the instructions are right for Word 2003; I don't have XP on my machine so I can't verify that the names are exactly the same, but I'm 99% sure you can do it the same way.

Comment : Does this still work? I tried http://www.flexwiki.com/default.aspx/FlexWiki/EmbedWikiContentInWordDocuments.html?view=p and get an error. It appears that the new way is to use print.aspx instead http://www.flexwiki.com/print.aspx/FlexWiki/EmbedWikiContentInWordDocuments.html . Is there a way to get the body without the topic name? -- TimSherrill [4/5/2005]
A URL-based method for extracting just the body of a WikiTopic, to include in another website or Word, for example.
