SteveMakofsky is already looking into whether FlexWiki can be made to run on the DotNetCompactFramework. Seems to me that this would enable some cool mobile scenarios for Wiki.
Obviously, I could get the latest Wiki news on projects I'm involved in -- and do that on my mobile device. I wonder what other cool things could be done. Maybe one could combine this with the XMLTransformWikiBehavior?
Should the FlexWiki server sniff the kind of client that's visiting and generate a slimmed down HTML page for phones?
One thing I like to do is use Plucker to view wiki pages offline when I am away from my PC. It would be cool if flexwiki could detect(sniff) plucker and slim down the html for this use. The slimmed html would not contain any of the FlexWiki menu stuff. -- MikeLinnen
One thought I had was a "Pocket OneNote" type application using the Wiki as the backend. Would be cool though to have a flip to turn on "Allow others to view pages" which would turn on a micro-web server so others could view the pages hosted on the device. -- SteveMakofsky
While the idea of a portable Wiki server is cool, my guess is that Wiki synchronization will actually be a more widely used feature (whereby you carry around a complete editable copy of an online wiki). -- Don
See FwSync. Not adapted for mobile use yet, but it could be. -- CraigAndera
